Due to the vacation season and numerous construction sites, trains are delayed more often than usual. To allow more time to reach connecting trains, search for a suitable train connection on the above website and then click on "View details" and then "Adjust the transfer time".
Public Transportation Flatrate via "9 Euro Ticket":
Free of charge transportation is organized between Maritim Hotel Königswinter and official events from the meeting program and the companion program.
For private local/regional trips it may be worthwhile to purchase a so-called
"9 Euro Ticket".
This ticket is a special promotion and gives you
unlimited travel on local/regional transport services throughout Germany. The tickets are personal, non-transferable and valid for one calendar month (separate ticket required for July / August).
The tickets can be purchased online via the Deutsche Bahn web site (see link above). They are also available in the Deutsche Bahn train stations as well as at vending machines, apps, and customer centers of the local transport associations.
Important note:
Fast and long-distance trains ("IC", "IE", "ICE", "THALYS" etc.) as well as long distance busses are excluded!
